I’m Francesca, and I’m a quilter, marketer, and multidisciplinary artist.

I’ve been making bold and beautiful things under the moniker No Aesthetic Quilts since around 2016. I’m also a professional marketer and communications consultant, and I often work with creatives in the quilting/textile space on digital marketing, SEO, and the other types of tools you need to make an online business thrive. I live and work in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts.

In May 2022, the day after my child’s first birthday, at age 35, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. This was a huge shock to me and to my family. I have since begun chemotherapy, and will have a mastectomy and six weeks of radiation, as well as further infusions.

I’m currently working on a quilt pattern series called “Quilts of Power.”  based around the most common cancer treatments: chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. The designs for these quilts are inspired by Medieval and magical imagery representing healing, alchemy, strength, and resilience. It’s my hope that these quilt patterns will resonate with others, and bring some hope, magic, and light to people in a difficult time. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds from these quilt patterns will be offered as mutual aid for cancer patients in perpetuity.
